"Pretty Miss Norma Jean" was a regular on Porter Wagoner's TV show for six years (when she left, she was replaced by Dolly Parton), and charmed America with her full-throated, sassy vocals, somewhat reminiscent of Loretta Lynn's. This classic album from 1972 --released on CD for the first time in 2007--contains 30 of her songs, which range from rollicking barnstormers to sweet, string-laden weepers.
