Narrated by Meryl Streep, this picturesque IMAX documentary highlights the importance of Louisiana's shrinking wetlands, which provide vital protection against hurricanes. This point is made all too relevant by the destruction wrought by Hurricane Katrina, an event that caught the filmmakers by surprise, and which the film uniquely captures in both its human and environmental costs. Rich with the vibrant sounds of New Orleans, this timely film features appearances by musicians Allen Toussaint, Tab Benoit, Amanda Shaw, and Chubby Carrier.
