5 out of 5 stars Still Reading Collins and Wants More, January 7, 2012
By Glitterins
Im not an avid reader, I usually dont finish story books, and I lazily watch TV or DVDs. But I finished the first book of The Hunger Games in a couple of days and Im now finishing the second. I cant wait to get into the third. Ive lost interest in TV. Ms. Collins has made me look at all my experiences differently, see the world differently, taste my food differently, sleep in my bed differently. Her book is trans-formative. The world that she has created parallels our own in a number of eerie ways. Her book does not just provide suspense, have great deion, and characters. Her story means something. That is the reason I keep reading.

Suzanne Collins creates an exciting trilogy focused on the main character Katniss. The characters are intriguing, and the plot is especially unique. The book keeps up a fast pace throughout the whole story and surprises you on every chapter. Collins will leave you wanting more!

Short Desription

Katniss is a 16-year-old girl living with her mother and younger sister in the poorest district of Panem, the remains of what used be the United States. Long ago the districts waged war on the Capitol and were defeated. As part of the surrender terms, each district agreed to send one boy and one girl to appear in an annual televised event called, "The Hunger Games." The terrain, rules, and level of audience participation may change but one thing is constant: kill or be killed. When Kat''s sister is chosen by lottery, Kat steps up to go in her place.
