Title Note

Sweden native and New Orleans transplant Theresa Andersson is a singer-songwriter whose stylistic palette ranges from country-rock to jazz to adult alternative fare. HUMMINGBIRD, GO! proves to be one of Andersson's more unpredictable and adventurous outings, and it also ranks among her most satisfying. On tracks like "Na Na Na" and "Birds Fly Away," the artist creates dreamy, melodic popscapes that verge on the psychedelic, with layered harmonies, muted guitars, and Andersson's own sultry vocals. The resulting sound may surprise Andesson's fans, but that sonic surprise-hazy, evocative, and alluring-is the good kind.
