The missing link between edgy Marilyn Manson-style rock (Manson produced many of the tracks here) and the emancipated riot grrl movement, the all-girl four-piece Florida outfit Jack Off Jill lasted most of the 1990s before imploding in 2000. HUMID TEENAGE MEDIOCRITY is a collection of demos from between 1992 and 1995, many done for their SEXLESS DEMONS AND SCARS album. Whether celebrating kinky sex ("Swollen," "Boy Grinder") or castigating female betrayal ("Hypocrite," "Cumdumpster"), the songs are by turns erotic, disturbing, and hilarious, driven by a fierce intelligence that will leave you lamenting the band's demise.
