This is the 4th album by legendary godfathers of death metal Death. Chuck Schuldiner wanted all his albums to be the best so he got the best musicians he could get his hands on. This album is stacked! Paul Masvidal and Sean Reinert of the jazz-based metal band Cynic, and Steve DiGiorgio of Sadus tearing it up on bass. A very brutal, yet beautiful album. The song structure on this album is unbelievable. Not your standard verse, chorus, verse, chorus stuff. The drumming is flawless, brutal and unique. The bass lines are practically solos to most bass players. The guitars can be summed in one word: inhuman. Over all, 100% on the album.
