Jake Shimabukuro, the world's first ukulele rock star, supplies the bewitching soundtrack to the 2007 Japanese comedy HULA GIRLS. The album naturally leans towards laid-back, strummy soundscapes, with traditional Hawaiian elements that function well not only dramatically but as pure listening enjoyment.
