Since the late-`70s, veteran British experimental musician Steven Stapleton has released his mysterious productions under the surreal moniker Nurse with Wound. In the interim, Stapleton has put his wry, dark twist on nearly every music genre imaginable, from Spike Jones-styled satire to meditative ritual music. HUFFIN' RAG BLUES visits the kitschy world of `50s exotica and lounge music. Juxtaposing ersatz jazz and swing sounds against ominous voiceovers and dark atmospheres, Stapleton showcases his mastery of transforming the commonplace into something strange and unfamiliar.
