Kevin McCreery is a veteran rock musician and a seasoned instructor, an autodidact by the age of five whose passion in life has always been to play the guitar. Here, he shares the knowledge he has collected over the years with students just picking up the acoustic guitar, presenting the basics in an easy-to-follow, comprehensive way. This tutorial is virtually overflowing with information to put students well on their way to mastery, covering how to hold and tune the guitar, as well as the different chords, strum patterns, scales, song rhythms, and finger picking techniques that will help students find their own sound. Backing bass and drum tracks are also provided for practicing and honing the skills Kevin imparts.
