If Jon B.'s 2004 album, STRONGER EVERYDAY, was a cathartic, therapeutic exercise made in response to the singer's then-recent personal travails, 2008's HELPLESS ROMANTIC represents a man with renewed confidence, once again on top of his game. From the Barry White-like randiness of "Ooh So Sexy" to the hip-hop slow-jam double entendres of the title track ("you're the ocean, I'm Titanic"), it's clear that John B. is musically and personally back doing what he does best: enjoying life, lovin' the ladies, and singing sweet soul music.

If you are a Jon B fan, you will not be disappointed in this CD. I have been waiting for something after Stronger Everyday, this was definitely worth the wait...I like it a lot!
