His Best (CD)

Little Walter invented the overdriven, reverb-soaked harmonica sound that came to epitomize Chicago blues. Beginning in the late 1940s and early '50s, first as Muddy Waters' sideman and later as a soloist, Little Walter altered the role of the harmonica in the blues band and influenced thousands of blues harpists in the process.

Whether on signature tunes ("Juke"), slow burners ("Mean Old World"), or classic rockers ("Boom, Boom Out Goes the Light"), this is old-school electric blues at its absolute finest.
