Album Description

With occasional production help from Richard Dorfmeister and vocals from Liane Sommers and Andrea Palladio, Higher Than the Funk is an excellent set of downbeat electronic pop. Tracks like "Tell Me Why Is It Oh So Hard to Be Oh So Lovely" and "Philosophy" walk a natural-sounding balance between earthy trip-hop and classic European pop from the '60s. ~ John Bush
