After working the club trenches for years, veteran stand-up comedian Bill Engvall finally broke through to the mainstream in a big way thanks to the popularity of the Blue Collar Comedy Tour (which also featured Jeff Foxworthy, Larry the Cable Guy, and Ron White). Engvall's popular act is based on witty and blunt observations about marriage, family life, and people so stupid they need a sign to warn others ("Here's your sign" is a popular Engvall catch phrase). In 2007, the born-and-bred Texan developed and starred in his own self-titled sitcom.
