Annotation

April 6, 1966, was a life-changing day for Geoff Emerick. This was the first day of his session as head engineer working on the Beatles' album REVOLVER. But perhaps the most fateful day was his second day as basically just a gopher at EMI Studios when the Beatles came in to do their very first recording. Emerick met the young Liverpool band that day, and although he would leave EMI, he would work with the lads again for their final project, ABBEY ROAD. With this breadth of experience and professional insight, Emerick offers a unique perspective on this legendary band.
