Product Notes

Mike Mignola's comic book antihero is back in this pair of animated adventures full of intrigue and action.

HELLBOY - SWORD OF STORMS: When a professor of folklore opens an ancient scroll and becomes possessed by powerful spirits, the authorities call on Hellboy for help. But Hellboy has battles of his own when he picks up a samurai sword that transports him to a netherworld of ghosts and monsters.

HELLBOY - BLOOD AND IRON: Flanked by Liz Sherman and Abe Sapien, the demon do-gooder looks into the paranormal phenomena that are threatening to take over a mansion. As though ghosts and werewolves weren't enough, Hellboy has to contend with both a vampiress and an evil goddess to save the day.

Also included here is a cigar-smoking Hellboy action-figure with sword.

both animated Hellboy films included here are great. An excellent adaptation of the comics/feature film, with new elements included that keep the whole thing interesting. If you like the comics/the film...I dont see any reason you wont enjoy Blood & Iron/Sword of Storms. The ltd. edition figure here looks very cool, but Hellboys legs/feet are kind of flimsy, and it was kind of a tough job getting him to stand up on the little platform. Nice toy, but they really didnt put the extra time into it...to just make the legs stronger, as the figure is very top heavy. If not for that little figure issue, I would have given 5 stars. Anyway, it isnt a bad deal at all for a figure + the films.
