Review

Spin (p.96) - 3 stars out of 5 -- "[T]he blitzkrieg pop of 'All I Want' conjures Joey Ramone at his punk-romantic best....HELL HATH NO FURY is crafty and hook-laden enough to go beyond mere tribute."
Alternative Press (p.150) - 3 stars out of 5 -- "Civet frontwoman Liza Graves' gruff, scabrous roar plows through the racing surf-punk riffage and bucking rhythms like a bulldozer, backed by her bandmates' boisterous vocals."
Kerrang (Magazine) (p.49) - "With songs that travel at two speeds -- fast and very, very fast -- and mainstream melodies that are dirtied and besmirched by anger..."

Title Note

Civet: Liza Graves, Suzy Homewrecker (vocals, guitar); Jacqui Valentine (vocals, bass instrument); Danni Harrowyn (vocals, drums).

Audio Mixer: Howard Willing.

Los Angeles can be a mean town, and natives Civet have developed a feral, teeth-baring sound that'll ensure their survival in even the harshest environment. HELL HATH NO FURY isn't just an album title, it's also the first part of a phrase that ends, "like a woman scorned," and only a fool would cross these ladies. Civet keeps it basic; their main touchstone is the classic Cali punk of groups like Social Distortion and Rancid, and singer Ms. Liza Graves has a broken glass-gargling growl that takes no prisoners.
