Part of Los Angeles's growing underground art-noise scene based around the club/space the Smell, Health recall the Liars when spewing the heavily rhythmic, speaker-damaged noise-core that marks their 11-track self-titled full-length on Lovepump United. The foursome careens from sound to sound as digital squiggles and analog squalls smash against one another, vocals shift from hauntingly dreamy to downright furious, and enormous, booming drums anchor the whole affair to solid ground.
