This live document of Texas garage-psych legend Roky Erickson's first comeback finds him backed by the tight, rocking Explosives, who provide punchy, energetic backing on these 1979-1981 recordings, a number of which are previously unreleased. Erickson's lyrics may be as wonderfully off the wall as the titles "Creature With the Atom Brain" and "I Think Up Demons" would suggest, but his delivery here is direct, fierce, and right on the money, especially when spurred on by the aptly named Explosives.
