While there are many Argent hits collections available on the market, GREATEST: THE SINGLES COLLECTION stands as the be-all and end-all--and the perfect place for the new or casual fan to begin. Given fare like "Hold Your Head Up" and "God Gave Rock and Roll To You," it's clear Rod Argent and Co. were always more of a singles band, anyway. Of the 18 tracks on GREATEST, 10 are single radio mixes that have never before been issued on CD, and the production still pops decades after the fact. GREATEST also includes a live version of "Time of the Season," a chestnut from the catalog of Rod Argent's previous band, the Zombies.
