Although he's best known to the general populace for his work on the Hee-Haw TV show, Roy Clark is a virtuoso multi-instrumentalist capable of producing fireworks on anything with strings, and is proficient in country, bluegrass, and even classical music. He was famed for his comedic presence in a variety of television settings in the '70s and '80s, but he's also got a long string of fine recordings to his credit, going back to the early '60s, when he was a fiery fretmaster along the lines of Joe Maphis or Jimmy Bryant.
