Though David Gray has only had one chart hit in the United States, the radio staple "Babylon," the British singer-songwriter has developed enough of a stateside following to make 2007's GREATEST HITS an essential purchase for new fans. Already a couple years old when it became a U.S. hit in 2000, "Babylon" was far from Gray's first single; these 14 songs stretch all the way back to Gray's first album, released in 1992, and cover all his releases for the several labels he's been signed to over the years. For longtime fans, GREATEST HITS also includes two fine new songs, the tender ballad "You're the World to Me" and the politically themed "Destroyer."

It is unusual to find an artist that appeal to the ear in an instant, But David Gray is such an artist I was watching the early episodes of Scrubs and about half way through the first show, DJ is going on Night duty and is terrified of the results, this song comes on and The night goes well. I find myself in the same place, my life has Been spend listening to all forms of music and it is hard to find Something new at this point of life is hard to come by, he does it In Spades, love the line, “Every time I look at you, lightening runs Through my blood”, every time I look at my wife in the last stages Of Cancer, I get the same lightening in my blood. Please listen to This young artist, he is the genuine item.
