Review

Kerrang (Magazine) (p.56) - "Driven at break-neck speeds for the duration, TGD is undoubtedly one of the most ferocious albums that 2009 will see, featuring a seemingly endless array of blastbeats, grinding riffs and melodic passages..."

Title Note

One of the most intense albums of 2009, Trigger the Bloodshed's sophomore release is devastatingly brutal. At first listen, one would not suspect that the band is from Great Britain, yet it seems that the island nation still has plenty of tricks up its sleeve. With a ferocious energy similar to Suffocation, Cryptopsy, and Dying Fetus, the U.K.'s latest export bludgeons its way effortlessly onto the American scene. THE GREAT DEPRESSION is equal parts death metal and grindcore with a legitimate youthful vigor, which makes founding fathers Napalm Death look old by comparison.
