Austin musician Scott H. Biram's whiskey-fueled, rough-and-ready mix of country, blues, rock & roll, and anything else he damn well pleases collars the listener like the ravings of a deranged, debauched, defrocked prophet. On the one-man-band's frenetic second album, "Been Down Too Long" serves as both an introduction and a warning, while "No Way" is an ominous vision of the future that prepares the way for songs like the throat-searing, unstoppable "Plow You Under," which amid the mayhem seems more like a simple statement of fact than any kind of threat.
