The two-disc, 26-track GRANDES EXITOS provides an excellent overview of Luis Miguel's career from 1987 to 2005. The chronologically arranged collection finds the Puerto Rican-born heartthrob belting out a Spanish language version of the pop hit "I Only Want to Be with You" (here titled "Ahora te Puedes Marchar") and easing into the funky, Sade-like "Inolvidable," before venturing to more stately, string-laden songs such as "Por Debajo de la Mesa." In addition to Miguel's smooth vocals, these tracks also benefit from shimmering keyboard lines and crystal-clear production, giving the singer a solid musical platform from which to let loose. For those looking to sample the charms of Luis Miguel, this is an ideal place to start.
