While he didn't act in or direct the film GRACE IS GONE, film auteur Clint Eastwood composed its soundtrack. Eastwood, who also composed the music for his film MILLION DOLLAR BABY, draws upon his love of jazz and classic soundtrack music of the 1960s and '70s for inspiration. The film, staring John Cusack as a husband and father of two children whose wife was killed in the Iraq war, is a wistful and bittersweet road movie about coming to grips with sadness and loss, and Eastwood's music (along with a vocal by jazz singer Jamie Cullum) frames it beautifully.
