Title Note

The title of Gospel's Greatest Hits may be overblown -- after all, there's no way you can cover all of gospel's greatest songs and performances in one double-disc set, and this collection is far too limited in scope to deserve that title. However, what is here makes for a very good compilation of more recent traditional-styled gospel, combined with newer, funkier contemporary gospel that fits in very nicely. Artists present include Andrae Crouch, the Winans, Chicago Mass Choir, New Jersey Mass Choir, L.A. Mass Choir, Vickie Winans, Douglas Miller, Walter Hawkins, the Clark Sisters, Danniebelle Hall, and Donald Malloy, among others. ~ Steve Huey
