GOOD ARROWS, the third album from folktronica act Tunng, brims with unique, seductive indie pop, balancing gentle acoustic folk, haunting melodies, and a variegated electronic soundscape. While the work of lead singer and songwriter Sam Genders forms the raw material of the album, it's the soundscape aspects that give GOOD ARROWS its depth and appeal. Meticulously constructed, GOOD ARROWS' songs are filled with burbles, whirs, clicks, and digital driftwood, while a host of organic instruments floats in and out of the mix. Yet the compositions are artfully balanced, keeping the focus squarely on the songs.
