In 1993, Meatmen frontman Tesco Vee put together the Hate Police, which amplified Vee's vitriol toward foreigners, women, and just about anyone not named Tesco Vee. But GONZO is arguably a more gripping musical statement than any of his original group's releases, as Vee is accompanied here by the focused hardcore rumble of Black Market Baby. The 2009 reissue's 30 tracks provide a lot to swallow, but it's hard not to smile during songs like "Big Boob Bonanza" and "Judas Priest My Ass Hurts," and the inclusion of covers like R.E.M.'s "Losing My Religion" add the requisite quotient of collector's novelty value.
