DJ Rogers' Golden Classics is truly a best-of set as it culls tracks from the singer/songwriter/keyboardist's releases on RCA and Earth Wind & Fire founder Maurice White's Columbia-distributed label ARC. The CD not only includes his classic acoustic piano-laced ballad "Say You Love Me" and hit "Love Brought Me Back," but its charming groover follow-up "All My Love," the chugging steppers favorite "Trust Me," the swirling, dynamic "Love Cycles," and the brisk gospel-ish "Let My Life Shine." Besides these singles, there are little-known album gems like the sweet thumper "Sold on You" from the Love Brought Me Back LP. Many tracks feature the top-notch skills of bassist Keni Burke. Rogers' other greatest-hits CD is The Message Man: The Best of DJ Rogers. ~ Ed Hogan
