Chicago rappers Do or Die have issued an impressive stream of releases since the mid-1990s, and while collaborations with Kanye West and R. Kelly spoke to the group's bid for commercial viability, 2006's GET THAT PAPER marks a return to a more hardcore, underground sound. The album features guest spots from UGK's Bun B. and stripped-down production from frequent collaborator the Legendary Traxster, while MCs AK, Bello, and Nard drop rhymes about the travails of the hustling lifestyle. For fans who thought the group had gone soft with commercial aspirations, GET THAT PAPER will be a welcome relief.
