They assert from the very beginning that their main objective is claiming their due from the world at any cost. If part of the price happens to be a murder here or there, or a bit of casual misogyny, the target audience for GET DOWN OR LAY DOWN is already sufficiently inured to such offenses and will not be scandalized. Instead, they'll tune in to the visceral aspect of PMW's rapping, the propulsive beats, the simple-but-effective synth hooks, and the kind of street-thug imagery that's made stars of so many other hip-hop acts, some lesser and some greater.
