Thanks to a video that circulated on the Internet in 2005, Honolulu's Jake Shimabukuro stunned the world with his delicately emotional and virtuosic rendition of "While My Guitar Gently Weeps" played entirely on ukulele. But even before that, he was a truly international sensation, touring the U.S., Europe, and Japan and making fans everywhere with his amazing shows that combine jazz-worthy technique with rock feel and folk sensitivity. GENTLY WEEPS contains the George Harrison cover that started it all, as well as imaginative versions of "The Star-Spangled Banner," "Ave Maria," "Misty," and more.
