The First Microsoft Video Game Console!
The Xbox marked Microsoft's first foray into the gaming console market and is considered a sixth generation console, alongside Nintendo's GameCube and Sony's Playstation 2.
The original Xbox is the predecessor to Microsoft's current console, the Xbox 360.
Although the console was discontinued in late 2006, the final Xbox game was released in the Summer of 2008 and many gamers continue to use it as their primary system.
