One of his sax teachers was none other than smooth sax icon Eric Marienthal, and his influences include performers diverse as David Sanborn, John Coltrane, and Michael Brecker. FRESH lives up to its title, with lively, sunny soloing over funky, spunky grooves, a cheery mix of urban soul, contemporary jazz, and old-school fusion with hints of bebop.
