Guitarist Michael Schenker's playing has a new toughness and clarity that perfectly frames the more melodic, hook-oriented songwriting he developed in tandem with singer Phil Mogg. With crisp rhythms and riffs that gallop squarely on the beat, FORCE IT provides the perfect snapshot for when post-Zeppelin/glam hard rock morphed into the New Wave of British Heavy Metal. A 2008 reissue includes one previously unreleased studio track--"Million Miles"--and five live versions of album cuts.
