Review

Kerrang (Magazine) (p.50) - "'Reverend Wrinkle' and 'Long Sleeves' ride a classic Led Zeppelin dynamism as filtered through Audioslave's more muscular modern take."

Title Note

Black Stone Cherry: Chris Robertson (vocals, guitar); Ben Wells (guitars, background vocals); Jon Lawhon (bass guitar, background vocals); John Fred Young (drums, percussion, background vocals).

Audio Mixer: Rob Marlette.

Recording information: Blackbird Studios, Nashville TN.

Kentucky rockers Black Stone Cherry are not afraid of their country roots. While Daniels-soaked rock-&-roll is nothing new, it's the rare band that finds new (back dirt) roads to take it down. FOLKLORE AND SUPERSTITION is the work of a band bursting with enthusiasm about having discovered the way to make the traditional music their own. A healthy helping of metal muscle and sinewy, snakebit guitar solos push songs like album-opener "Blind Man" and the Dixie-fried blues-rocker "Soulcreek" into the swamps.
