Clay Walker Artist Snapshot:

Beaumont, Texas's son Clay Walker has been providing Nashville with solid, no-nonsense country hits ("What's it to You?", "If I Could Make a Living") since releasing his hit debut album in 1993. Aside from being a black-hatted cowboy troubadour, Walker is also known for his tireless contributions to various multiple sclerosis charities (including his own). The singer was diagnosed with the disease in '97, and, through a protocol of medicine and dietary changes, has managed to keep the symptoms at bay for at least 10 years and counting.

Title Note

Clay Walker's first album for Curb Records, FALL is a rootsy return to the hard country sound of his mid-1990s debut. Produced by new-traditionalist mainstay Keith Stegall, best known for his work with Alan Jackson, FALL is a crisp, unadorned record filled with twangy guitar-driven country tunes with few pop tendencies. Similarly, Walker (who wrote more than half the album himself) sticks to his roots with fine pure-country tunes like the sly "'Fore She Was Mama" and the blue-collar anthem "Workin' Man."
