A pretty young mermaid saves a sailor from drowning after he falls from his boat during a storm. She takes him to the shore and returns to her home under the sea. The Little Mermaid realizes, however, that she has fallen in love with the man. So she runs away from her father, King Neptune, and turns for help to a Sea Witch who has a special potion that will let the mermaid walk the earth just like humans. She will have to pay a high price to receive the magical brew, however...
