Title Note

Personnel: Ted Milton (vocals, saxophone); Pete Creese (guitar); Jake Milton (drums).

Stroud, England's jazz/post-punk trio originally got their break in 1979 by landing amidst the era's post-punk elite, and aligning themselves with the best label of the time, Tony Wilson's Factory Records. The label put four songs on a compilation and had plans to release a live album, IN BERLIN, but the band managed to annoy Wilson and he scrapped the project. LTM has now compiled all of these tracks as THE FACTORY RECORDINGS. It showcases band leader Ted Milton's skronky sax-playing and silly singing, and the band's tumbling cacophony and high-spirited playing. Blurt remained together for decades, though to hear the band at their most youthful and exuberant, this collection is essential.
