Mike Jackson, aka Oh No, is a member of the storied musical family that also includes 1970s soul star Otis Jackson, jazz trumpeter Jon Faddis, and Otis Jackson, Jr., the hip-hop artist Madlib. His second album is a collection of creatively manipulated samples and beats built around the jazz-funk work of the Canadian composer Galt MacDermot (who wrote the music for the iconic '60s musical HAIR), and featuring a series of smartly worded contributions from leading lights of hip-hop, like De La Soul's Posdnous and the Poor Righteous Teachers' Wise Intelligent.
