Product note

Additional personnel: Henry Rollins (vocals).
EVILLIVE on CD boasts cleaned-up sound, pleasantly reproduced original artwork and a bevy of songs not captured on the original EP. Expanded to a full-length album (with 12 songs instead of seven), it's a testament to how dynamic and exciting a band the Glenn Danzig-era Misfits were live. It wasn't all face paint and hair gel--the boys could actually rock when they felt like it.
Live marginal studio cuts such as "Devils Whorehouse" gain extra punch, even rivaling classic Misfits rave-ups like "Horror Business" and "Astro Zombies." An extra uncredited bonus is Danzig's onstage expletive-filled warning to ex-Misfit and future Undead member Bobby Steele, who was allegedly throwing bottles at his ex-employers. Henry Rollins sings back-up vocals on "We Are 138," which, given his prominent Misfits tattoo, is probably not much of a surprise.
