Title Note

Gone: Greg Ginn (guitar, bass guitar); Andy Batwinas (keyboards, percussion); Drummer (drums).

Additional personnel: HR (vocals).

Greg Ginn's first post-Black Flag project was Gone, an experimental post-everything band that presaged Ginn's ever more avant-garde musical direction. The "trilogy" refers to the three songs presented here and the "epic" most likely refers to their length. This package includes two discs, with the same tracklist of three songs on each. It is a noisy, challenging, and oddly compelling listen. Bad Brains' vocalist HR guest-stars.

4 out of 5 stars greg ginn + hr awesome, April 21, 2008
By Brad
i bought htis because i love the bad brains and hr. my friend told me hr sang on a new cd by greg ginn, from black flag. so i got it and it was totally different than what i expected. the songs are long and hr sings in a really cool falsetto. his words are sparse but they accent different parts in a really cool way. i like black flag before they got long hair, but maybe i should listen to that stuff again because greg ginn plays his ass off on these songs. i was a kid the last time i heard slip it in. maybe i would like that stuff now because i really like this a lot.
