In the mid-1990s, Gabrielle Roth released an instructional video about her patented "Wave/5 Rhythms" movement technique. The first half of this disc is essentially the soundtrack from the video, including instructions for moving to the various rhythms. In one uninterrupted flow, primal music representing the five rhythms progresses from flowing to staccato to chaotic to lyrical to stillness. The second half of the disc is another uninterrupted track of different tribal dance music, without instruction. Some of the songs have appeared on previous Gabrielle Roth albums, but the presentation is unique and especially useful for movement or yoga classes.
