The slack-voiced MC worked the internet savvily in the final years of the '00s to build a buzz around his club-ready singles, already budding hits in Dallas and the surrounding area. His offbeat yet accessible poetry about provocative girls ("Walk That Walk"), pimping his ride ("Ice Cream Paint Job"), and other universal hip-hop topics struck a chord with web denizens, and by 2009 Dorrough was a rap radio regular.
