The R&B singer Doris Troy wrote "Just One Look" and contributed backing vocals to songs by an extensive roster of artists, including the Rolling Stones, Nick Drake, and Pink Floyd, throughout her long career. A fine introduction to this underrated performer, this best-of collects a variety of her early-1960s work--including her hit version of "Just One Look"--showcasing her versatile vocal skills on the gospel-influenced "Lazy Days" and the perky R&B of "Time."
