Title Note

After the success of their first two albums, someone at Sony/Epic thought it a good idea to take the highlights of Firehouse's 1991 eponymous debut and their less-than-eponymous-follow-up, Rock on the Road, and sprinkle them together with two "extreme" acoustic versions of their most well-known hits "Love of a Lifetime" and "Don't Treat Me Bad" (no doubt cashing in on the success of fellow hair metal band Extreme's acoustic monster hit "More Than Words"), and put them together as a greatest-hits (so far) compilation. That pretty much sums up what "Don't Treat Me Bad" is all about. Die-hard fans will be probably be annoyed with having to purchase everything all over again just to get the "extreme" acoustic versions, but casual listeners will have everything they ever will need documenting the group's early hair metal years all on one disc. It's not the definitive disc (that would be 2000's appropriately titled Super Hits), but it's close enough ~ Rob Theakston
