The Fleshtones formed in Queens in 1976, built around the core songwriting duo of singer Peter Zaremba and guitarist Keith Streng. After winning over New York City audiences with their R&B-influenced garage rock, they made their recorded debut with the 1979 single "American Beat," followed by 1982's full-length ROMAN GODS. More than a dozen studio and live albums followed over the decades, with the band marking their 30th anniversary in 2006 and releasing their 11th studio album, TAKE A GOOD LOOK, two years later.
