Dizzy Gillespie's RCA Victor sessions of the 1940's are well documented on DIZZIER AND DIZZIER. 52nd Street was in full bloom and Dizzy's band was swinging with "Two Bass Hit," "Good Bait" and "Minor Walk." The Latin influence had begun to take effect, as well, as is evident on the classic "Night In Tunisia" and "Cubana Be" with Chano Pozo on congas. Among other guests on these seminal sessions are J.J. Johnson, Milt Jackson, Ray Brown, Kenny Clarke and a young Johnny Hartman singing "That Old Black Magic" and "You Go To My Head." A must have for any bebopper.
