Title Note

1966 contains Bowie's entire recorded output for Pye Records digitally remastered from the original mono masters. Contains 6 songs previously unavailable in the US.

Long before he launched himself into orbit with Major Tom on 1969's seminal "Space Oddity," David Bowie, like many other aspiring young pop stars in mid-'60s London, released a series of singles steeped in American R&B and aimed to appeal to both Mods and the Georgie Fame set. The brief six-song I DIG EVERYTHING, collects the three singles Bowie released for the Pye label in 1966. While these songs are a far cry from Bowie at his most creatively inspired, they're an interesting glance at a towering artist in a formative stage, and present yet another stylistic shade in the notorious artistic chameleon's career. The set comes packaged as three individual discs with the original artwork and an extensive booklet.
