A Walt Disney Records release that features kids singing Devo songs with help from the members of the original band? Anything's possible! Mouseketeers in flower-pot hats! The funny thing is that much of the arty appeal of Devo always came from the bouncy, cartoonishly infectious nature of the band's music, which is exactly what Devo 2.0 plays up.

It's hard to argue with the selection of tunes here, which includes "Whip It," "Jerkin' Back 'n Forth," and "Beautiful World," among other hits. The versions are as edgy and energetic as the originals, and the sound of tweeners singing "Peek A Boo" will cause everyone from toddlers to aging punk-rock moms and dads (no matter how hard they resist) to sing along. The set also comes with a video DVD featuring documentary interviews and computer animation.
